Delaware Swim School offers Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, Lifeguard Recertification and CPR/AED courses. If you have any questions please contact us. The course schedule will be updated as we add courses.

Lifeguard Certification Course – Cost $300.00. A full course is for first time students. You will learn all the necessary skills for CPR, AED, Lifeguard Training, and First Aid. The Lifeguarding and CPR/AED certifications are valid for two years. The course lasts approximately 31.5 hours.

Guaranteed full and part time employment for all students who pass the course.

Recertification

Lifeguard Recertification Course – Cost $175.00. Must hold a current Red Cross certificate that has not expired. The recertification is good for two years. The instructor will review the material and then test both written and practical skills.

Guaranteed full and part time employment for all students who pass the course.

CPR/AED

CPR/AED Certification – Cost $99.00. This must be renewed every two years. If you are taking the Lifeguard courses, CPR and AED certification is included. Recertification Cost: $69.00.

Course Registration Form

AMS offers employment for lifeguards, pool technicians, and supervisors. At AMS we provide the following employment opportunities:

• Over 30 pools in the New Castle County, Cecil County, and Chester County areas
• One guard, two guard, and club pools available
• Pay is based on experience, and hours available to work
• Full time (4 days per week) employees needed
• Lifeguards are granted 2 weekends off per summer with a minimum of 2 weeks notice

Please Note:

• All guards are required to work on an average of every other weekend.
• Pay rates are higher for one guard pools and for full-time employees and for experienced employees.
• You are encouraged to submit an application even if you are not yet certified but are planning on taking a course.

When hired the following must be submitted to amsguards@gmail.com

1. Payroll Packet (to be sent)
2. Copy of Photo ID (School or Drivers License or Passport)
3. Copies of any certifications
4. Working papers if under 18 and a new employee
